Dr. Rene Nobrega
Comes to us from Victoria with over 18 years of dental knowledge and experience.
He is an internationally qualified general dentist with a Bachelor of Dental Science and a post graduate degree in Endodontics. Rene later opened up his own private practice, where he became a respected clinician among his community.
Rene lived in Victoria with his wife Patricia and his two daughters named Isabella and Gabriella. The family lived in Geelong for many years before they made the decision to head north to the beautiful Sunshine Coast in December 2014 to join Dental Practices in Kawana and Brisbane.
Rene has since purchased the Buderim Dental Surgery, in the heart of the Buderim Village. This will be where he makes his stand and will consolidate his place in the local community as a family dental practitioner.
Rene is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of oral care to Buderim. All treatments are approached with gentle hands and a deep understanding of his patients needs before he begins.

Dr. Sara Merritt
Sara is a New Zealand trained dentist who completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Otago University.
She previously worked in Auckland before shifting over to join us in the Sunshine Coast.
Sara strives to provide the highest quality of dental care to her patients and has a large focus on preventive dentistry.
With her calm and caring approach she endeavours to put her patients at ease and form long lasting relationships.
Sara places an emphasis on her professional development to refine her clinical skills and embrace new technologies.
She likes to keep fit, play sports and enjoys trying out new brunch spots! A keen surfer, Sara is often making her way out to the beach in her spare time.
Emily started working as a Dental Assistant in Brisbane when she finished high school in 2006.
Throughout the years she has done a mix of dental nursing, reception and management.
Emily has been working at Buderim Dental Surgery since the opening of the practice and enjoys being our all-rounder girl as she loves the interactions between patients and staff, so you might find her on the front desk, office or the surgery!
In her spare time Emily loves to spend quality family time with her 1-year old daughter and her Husband and hitting the gym to keep fit.
She also has a love for animals and enjoys hearing our patient’s pet stories, so next time you’re in, don’t forget to show us a picture of your pet!
Sally has worked as a dental assistant for the last 17 years, and still continues to enjoy her role as a dental assistant and receptionist when required.
Sally has a bubbly and friendly personality and is sure to have a joke or 2 with all patients and other team members.
She has a wonderful family who keep her very busy, playing representative sports 7 days a week, and when she does get time to herself she loves to run to keep fit and healthy.
Her other love are her 2 dachshunds pets, Benson and Nicci. Both love going to the beach but hate swimming.
Shelley has been in the dental industry for 18 years and currently works as a dental assistant and receptionist at Buderim Dental Surgery.
Both Shelley and her family have recently moved to the Sunshine Coast in July 2017, from Dunedin NZ, so yes she a kiwi and speaks like one too!
She is a busy wife and mum of two beautiful children Leo and Elle.
Shelley loves the outdoors, whether it’s the beach or riding dirt tracks on her mountain bike.
Candice has over 12 years of dental assisting and reception experience.
She is compassionate and welcoming and aims to make every patient feel comfortable during their dental procedure.
She is a true local who grew up right here on the Sunny Coast and now is raising her own young family right by our beautiful beaches where they spend most of their spare time!
Candice is very social and likes to spend time with her family and catch up with friends.
Mel started in the dental industry in 2014 in Armidale NSW, where she was a receptionist but quickly moved into a dental assistant role, which she has been doing ever since.
In 2015, Mel made the move to the Sunshine Coast with her husband and 2 boys.
She is the newest member of the Buderim Dental Team, starting with us in September, straight after her wedding.
In her spare time, Mel likes to have time with her husband, 2 boys and French bulldog, Bentley.
